Located amidst pine clad mountains and set above the beach resort of Olu Deniz, Hisaronu enjoys a lovely setting whilst offering all the amenities and facilities of a busy, popular resort. The air here is usually fresher and cooler, especially in the evening, than at sea level and the scent of pine trees is everywhere. It really is a great location and its only a short distance to the beach at Olu Deniz.
Hisaronu enjoys not just the best of both worlds but the best of three worlds lovely mountain scenery; a wide range of shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife; and the delightful beach resort of Olu Deniz just 15 minutes away by local dolmus. There are lovely walks in the surrounding hills and plenty to do in the way of sightseeing and excursions.
Most people think the best time to visit Hisaronu is in May, June, September and October when the mountain air is fresh, the evenings are cooler than at sea level and daytime temperatures are in the high 70s or low 80s. Even in July and August, evening temperatures are very pleasant.
With a backdrop of pine-clad mountains and with lovely country and mountain views, Hisaronu enjoys a great location. Its easy-going and friendly and is ideal for a mix of relaxation and nightlife. Theres a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants and theres also a lively weekly market. A regular dolmus service runs between Hisaronu and Olu Deniz and theres also a frequent service to Fethiye.
Just about all tastes are catered for in Hisaronus wide array of bars and restaurants from local kebab stalls to delicious international cuisine. However, if youd like a memorable meal by the sea or an evening cocktail close to the beach, then Olu Deniz is the place to be and is only 15 minutes away.
Theres a wide selection of excursions and sightseeing trips to be enjoyed from Hisaronu in addition to numerous boat trips available from nearby Olu Deniz. Amongst the places you can visit are Dalyan (the Lycian rock tombs), Ephesus & Pamukkale, Saklikent and Rhodes (Greece). You can also try your hand at white water rafting, a Jeep Safari and paragliding and the area is wonderful for walking.
Hisaronu is the place to be for a lively night out. Here you will find a great selection of bars, discos and night spots to appeal to most tastes. Shopping is good, too, and theres also a weekly market. In nearby Fethiye theres also a good selection of shops, and leather goods especially bags, jackets, belts, wallets are a particularly good buy.
